Topic: ESPC Partner Zone Network Outage is scheduled for July 22, 2014 Date/Time Issued: July 22, 2014 1730 UTC Product(s) or Data Impacted: Products/data received or disseminated to select partners (please see Details); AWIPS text products, EMWIN re-broadcasts and environmental products, Jason-2 products, and Wallops CIP-Products Date/Time of Initial Impact: July 22, 2014 1500 UTC Date/Time of Expected End: July 22, 2014 1515 UTC Length of Event: 15 minutes Details/Specifics of Change: Environmental Satellite Processing Center (ESPC) is planning a network outage for July 22, 2014, between 1500 -1530 UTC to upgrade the Cisco IOS in the Partner Zone. This upgrade impacts the network router and switch. We realize this temporary product outage may cause some inconvenience, and we appreciate your understanding as we work to increase system reliability for the future. Products/data received or disseminated to the following users will be impacted during this network outage: The National Weather Service Telecommunication Gateway (NWSTG) - nport5 will NOT be available. Jason-2 Users - All product distribution and reception will be delayed for the duration of the network outage, but no products will be lost. AWIPS Users - Text data only will be impacted. AWIPS imagery data will NOT be impacted. N-AWIPS will NOT be impacted. Meteo-France - All products that go to them through a point-to-point connection (data distribution circuits) will be impacted. At the moment, we would not know which passes would be delayed or missed. UK's National Weather Service (UKMET) - All products (including HRPT data) that go to them through a point-to-point connection (data distribution circuits) will be impacted. At the moment, we would not know which passes would be delayed or missed. European Organization for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT) EARS System - All products that go to them through a point-to-point connection (data distribution circuits) will be impacted for the duration of the network outage. LRIT (EMWIN) - EMWIN re-broadcasts and environmental products will not be delivered for the duration of the network outage. At the close of this outage window we expect all services to resume as normal.
