Subject: Product Outage/Anomaly: Update #2 Delay in Science data This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --Boundary_(ID_HL8LetiO+0w08lMoPv2HYw) Content-type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8; format=flowed Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT *Update #2:***The latest Suomi-NPP status as of 22:00 UTC, all instruments are operating and are producing science data. During SVL contact 14407 (20:25 UTC - 20:36 UTC), the SG4 ground antenna control unit experienced an issue at SVL; therefore, stored mission data will not be available to users until after the next contact - SVL 14408 (22:07 UTC - 22:20 UTC). All science data from the time when the instruments were re-activated will be recovered, processed and distributed after the SVL 14408 contact. The high rate data (HRD) will be enabled during SVL 14408 contact and the direct readout community will see resumption of the HRD service once all final spacecraft housekeeping information is captured for detailed root cause analysis purposes. For those specific users with stringent timeliness requirements, data will not be redistributed to those users unless it meets their defined data timeliness cutoff. While all instruments are now operating, users should be aware that short term calibration fluctuations are possible due to minor temperature variations; however, all data collected will meet specification. Timing details of data availability for each instrument are as follows: ATMS nominal operations at 17:45 UTC, VIIRS nominal operations at 18:50 UTC, CrIS nominal operations at 19:18 UTC, CERES nominal operations at 19:21 UTC and OMPS nominal operations at 19:45 UTC.* * * Update #1: *As of 17:08 UTC, the Suomi-NPP spacecraft is now back to nominal mission pointing and the sequence to bring the instruments back to normal operations is underway. At the next contact (18:42 UTC- 18:53 UTC), the VIIRS and CrIS instrument activation process will occur.
