Update#2:The ESPC Polarprod system outage has been recovered. Data is being processed and technicians are verifying and validating operations and backlogged data.

Update#1: The planned maintenance impacting ESPC Polarprod has encountered difficulties which will extend the outage. The System Administrator is currently investigating the problem. ESPC will send further updates as information becomes available.

Length of Outage: 30 minutes. No data will be lost, just delayed.

Details/Specifics of Change: The primary Polar production server (Polarprod) will receive an upgrade to the CISCO/Tidal AIX Agent. The Polarprod LPAR will also be migrated to a different IBM P7 host. The outage should not result in any products being incomplete or lost, but data delivery will be delayed.

This planned maintenance will be postponed if a Critical Weather Day is declared on October 8, 2014.
