This difference was due to the small drift in orbit of the satellites. With this correction, the speed bias and RMS will be similar for the two complementary products. All AMSU-A, ASCAT, ATOVS, AVHRR, HIRS, IASI and MHS products may have temporarily degraded quality geo-location data after the time of the manoeuvre.
