The NAAPS products are used as initial input into S-NPP Aerosol product generation in order to obtain an optimal solution. Community users of these products should note that the Aerosol products provided by the S-NPP ground system still meet specification; however, those products are not at the full optimal quality such as when NAAPS is used by those algorithms during nominal processing. S-NPP Technicians are currently working with the NAAPS provider to ascertain the root cause and to implement the necessary corrective action in order to resume optimal processing of those algorithms using NAAPS data as input.
