Subject: Administrative: ESPC Planned Network Maintenance is --001a11339786aebab3050f5d8b1a Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Topic: Planned Network Maintenance (10Gbps connection to the NOAA MAN router) Date/Time Issued: February 18, 2015 1420 UTC Product(s) or Data Impacted: None Date/Time of Initial Impact: March 04, 2015 1700 UTC (Backup: March 05, 2015 1700 UTC) Date/Time of Expected End: March 04, 2015 1900 UTC (Backup: March 05, 2015 1900 UTC) Length of Event: 2 hours Details/Specifics of Change: On Wednesday, March 4, 2015, ESPC will make a 10Gbps connection to the NOAA MAN router operational. The backup date for this work is Thursday, March 5, 2015. The maintenance will not be done on a Critical Weather Day, or if there are other significant operational issues warranting postponement. Working with the NOAA NOC the ESPC network team will implement router configurations to make newly installed 10Gbps capable network modules connecting to the NOAA MAN operational. New physical connections have been established with the NOAA MAN core router in order to make this transition seamless. Once the new connections are running the old connection to the NOAA MAN core routers will be shutdown. Transition should be transparent to the user community.
