A recovery period will follow immediately and last until 0044 UTC, March 21, 2015. During the recovery period, GOES-15 Routine imager and sounder scans will be broadcast. However, the navigation may be out of specification until the end of the recovery period. GOES-15 (GOES-West) Rapid Scan Operations (RSO) will not be allowed from the start of the maneuver activity to the end of the maneuver recovery period. If NWS Regions have any operational concerns, please contact the NCEP SDM (301) 683-1500 at least 6 hours prior to the maneuver time. Please note, there is no backup date for the Yaw Flip. GOES-13 (GOES-East) will perform Full Disk scans from 2015 UTC - 2144 UTC on March 19, 2015 to mitigate the temporary loss of data coverage from GOES-15. The GOES-East Full Disk coverage is subject to change in the event NWS requests Rapid Scan Operations to support Critical Weather Day status.
