GOES-15 remains offline.GOES-15 remains fully operational as GOES-WEST,
utilizing a single star tracker to maintain attitude control.Product
accuracy continues to remain within specifications approximately 95% of
the time.
NOAA, NASA, and factory engineers reviewed Recommended Operating
Procedures for Single-Star-Tracker Operations during their meeting on
May 26th.Boeing will make the requested changes and provide final
drafts
next week. Engineers reviewed the Initial results from the INR
Performance Improvement, and reviewed tasks and timelines for the next
step in the study. In the absence of a significant change of status,
the
next status update will be published on Friday, Jun 5th.
