 Date/Time of Initial Impact: 2015 April 23  20:32 UTC

 Date/Time of Expected End: TBD

Length of Outage: TBD

Details/Specifics of Change:

As of 1900z Jun 19, Star Tracker 2 on GOES-15 remains offline.  GOES-15 remains fully operational as GOES-WEST, utilizing a single star tracker to maintain attitude control.  Product accuracy continues to remain within specifications approximately 95% of the time.

GOES-15 continues to operate nominally with single star tracker.  A GOES-15 E/W stationkeeping maneuver was executed at 1250z on June 18.   Single-star-tracker attitude control during the maneuver and post-maneuver imaging performance were all nominal.

Boeing, Ball, and NOAA engineers are developing a test procedure to validate star tracker subsystems.  Implementation of the test has been delayed due to Critical Weather Days, and is planned to be implemented next week.

NOAA engineers continued to make changes for single-star-tracker command procedures and scripts.  They have submitted a single-star-tracker stellar acquisition script and a single-star-tracker thermal command procedure to Boeing for peer review.  On June 19, Boeing presented single star tracker stellar acquisition simulation data to NOAA and NASA.

In the absence of a significant change of status, the next status update will be published on Friday, Jun 26th.
