Details/Specifics of Change: GOES-15 (GOES-West) will be performing a Yaw Flip Maneuver for one hour on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 from 2023 UTC through 2129 UTC. A recovery period will follow immediately and last until September 25, 2015 at 0044 UTC. During the recovery period, routine imager and sounder scans will be performed; however, the navigation may still be out of specifications until the end of the recovery period. No GOES-15 (GOES-West) RSO requests will be approved during the maneuver/maneuver recovery period. If NWS Regions have any operational concerns, please contact the NCEP SDM (301) 683-1500 at least 6 hours prior to the maneuver time. However, there is no backup date for the Yaw Flip Maneuver. The Yaw Flip Maneuver will continue if Critical Weather is in effect during this time period. GOES-13 (GOES-East) will perform Full Disk coverage from 2015-2144 UTC on September 23, 2015. The GOES-East Full Disk coverage is subject to change should NWS call for Rapid Scans to support Critical Weather Status. On September 24, 2015 0800-1100 UTC, the following images and soundings will be shortened or replaced due to navigation constraints during eclipse.
