Details/Specifics of Change: On November 18, 2015, from 1600
UTC to 1900 UTC, NESDIS will perform a test of GINI-II, the
successor to GINI. During the three hour test period,
operational level 1b and level 2 AWIPS product suite
will be
produced and disseminated from GINI-II. NWS AWIPS and
NOAAPort/Satellite Broadcast Network users are asked to
monitor their data displays closely. Although not
expected,
if data quality issues are observed, please report them to
NESDIS ESPC Operations at 301-817-3880. At 1900 UTC,
NESDIS
will switch back to GINI operations and begin assessment of
the test results.
If a Critical Weather Day is
issued by the NWS, the test will be rescheduled for
November
19, 2015, same time.
