Subject: Product Outage/Anomaly: NOAA B Communications Circuit Offline This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --Boundary_(ID_mFdyaP5eJANPCEPbU0BmAA) Content-type: text/plain; charset=utf-8; format=flowed Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT *Topic:* SARSAT NOAA B Communications Circuit Offline affecting Guam 1 & 2 LEO Ground Station data *Date/Time Issued: * May 3, 2016 1730Z *Product(s) or Data Impacted:* SARSAT alert data *Date/Time of Initial Impact:* May 3, 2016 0705Z *Date/Time of Expected End: * May 3, 2016 1530Z *Length of Outage: * 8 hours 25 minutes *Details/Specifics of Change: *The outage was a result of the NOAA B circuit bouncing throughout the night starting at 0705Z and finally failing at 1319Z. We were redistributing our internal static routes through EIGRP (the frame routing protocol) from the B router and as a result when the B circuit bounced, Guam would not see our internal routes over EIGRP. To resume comms the NOAA A router has been configured to advertise these routes over EIGRP as well. This configuration will remain in place to prevent recurrence of this issue. The NOAA B circuit is still currently down and Verizon is working to restore service. *Contact Information for Further Information: *USMCC Operations usmcc@noaa.gov at 301-817-4576 *Web Site(s) for applicable information:* N/A --Boundary_(ID_mFdyaP5eJANPCEPbU0BmAA) Content-type: text/html; charset=utf-8 Content-transfer-encoding: 8BIT
