on our primary and secondary NSOF firewalls and Partner Zone router.
Traffic flow appears normal , however please send an internal
notification to all system owners to test that operations have returned

*Details/Specifics of Change:* Environmental Satellite Processing
Center (ESPC) will be performing required Firewall and router
maintenance on Thursday, May 05, 2016 , between 1400 - 1500Z. The
nature of this work will cause an outage to both Internet and NOAA's
National Center for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) customers. Access
to all ESPC products during the firewall maintenance window will be
available to Internet users. NCEP Push and Pull users will be affected
by the router maintenance. An outage of up to 1 hour for AWIPS, FNMOC,
NAVO and NCEP customers is expected. This maintenance is needed to
address critical security vulnerabilities to both ESPC firewalls and
routers.
This maintenance will NOT be done on a Critical Weather Day, nor if
there are other significant operational issues warranting postponement.
