*NCEP informed us that the GFS model will be upgraded on May 11, 2016.
We have been working with the application programmers to ensure
that all
affected applications have been tested and validated and are compatible
with the new NCEP GFS model data output. Updates for Model AIRS
will be
completed in time for the May 11, 2016, GFS 12z run. Even though we
anticipate a seamless transition all PALs and contractor support staff
are encouraged to be extremely vigilant with regard to production runs
after the 12Z cycle on the 11th.
