UPDATE #1: S-NPP was unable to execute the planned DMU today, however, all the data outages and times listed in the original ESPC Notice are still correct resulting from maneuver configuration. The DMU is being re-planned for Tuesday Sep 13, 2016, and another ESPC notice will be sent out with the times for that maneuver on Monday.

16:00:00Z, S-NPP will perform a 2.0 second propulsive Drag
Make-UP
(DMU) maneuver to maintain Repeating Ground Track. Due to
the DMU
activities, some of the ATMS Scan Reversals will not occur.
During the period of DMU preparation and activities, ATMS Scan
Reversals will be manually commanded to minimize skipped
reversals, but may not occur exactly at stepped latitudes
and thus
small data gaps may be introduced.
The following observatory systems will be affected on September
8,
2016.
12:00:00Z – 22:00:00Z ATMS Scan Reversal will be manually
commanded, some reversals will be missed.
15:34:00Z – 17:41:04Z CERES in Contam-Safe mode, science data
will not be available
15:44:00Z – 16:11:06Z OMPS in Decon mode, Science data

broadcast
users will be unavailable
15:54:00Z – 16:07:04Z S-NPP pointing off-nadir, collected

during that time period may be impacted and not disseminated
