Data and products distributed from SATEPSANON or ESPC websites will not be impacted. *Date/Time of Initial Impact:* July 6, 2016 1400Z *Date/Time of Expected End:* August 26, 2016 2000Z *Details/Specifics of Change:***ACTION REQUIRED! ** *PDA – Product Distribution and Access – is ESPC’s new enterprise distribution system.* * Current Processing & Distribution -NDE – moving to PDA -DDS – moving to PDA -GeoDist – McIDAS imagery staying on GeoDist, but GOES-R data will only available via PDA (in netcdf format) Who needs to re-validate? All external DDS users who have not already been working with the PDA Integration team. Also, all GeoDist users who will want access to GOES-R data. (Users from NESDIS STAR do not need to re-validate. We are working with your network team already on an enterprise STAR account.) ** PDA is expected to be operational around Nov 1, 2016 with NDE and NPP data available. NDE distribution is expected to be turned off 30 days after PDA is operational. ** Transition of re-validated users and products from DDS is expected to take about 6 months after PDA is operational, at which time DDS will be turned off. GOES-R data will be available on PDA after check-out period is complete. This is expected about 6 months after launch, which is currently scheduled for Oct 2016.
