*Details/Specifics of Change:* Due to network acquisition issues, full
resolution Himawari-8 AHI data in Himawari Standard Data (HSD) format
are not available from the primary NESDIS server for processing into
product applications. During the outage from NESDIS' distribution
servers, the H-8 imagery, and the reduced spatial resolution (via
sub-sampling) derived products from GEODIST will be cancelled or for
global products, missing H-8 data coverage.
Users should note that full resolution Himawari-8 AHI data in Himawari
Standard Data (HSD) format are not served from operationally (24x7)
maintained servers. Outages or disruptions of service will be
addressed
on a 8x5, best effort basis on normal business days. If data issues
should occur on weekends and holidays, expect additional delays for
restoration of H-8 HSD data and derived products. Full 24x7
operational
support of H-8 products will commence with the activation of the NESDIS
Product Distribution and Access (PDA) system in 2017.
