Details/Specifics of change: On December 10, 2016,
Suomi-NPP will perform a spacecraft attitude maneuver for the
VIIRS Lunar Calibration, with a roll of -7.6607 degrees centered
at 07:36:58Z. Science data may be impacted while the spacecraft
is
pointing off-nadir during the attitude maneuver and the CERES
instrument will not provide nominal science data as it will
placed
in a contamination safe mode. The timeline of events for this
maneuver are provided below.
The following observatory systems will be affected on 2016
December 10:
07:11:58 Z – 08:13:58 Z CERES will be in Contam-Safe, science
data will not be available
07:26:58 Z – 07:48:58 Z HRD will be off, data for direct
broadcast users will be unavailable
07:31:28 Z – 07:44:29 Z VIIRS encoder offset and gain will
be set
for Moon observation
07:31:58 Z – 07:43:58 Z S-NPP will be pointing off-nadir,
collected data may be impacted and not disseminated
