Soufriere Hills - February 11, 2010 Eruption


Rainbow Enhanced Image of Soufriere Hills eruption

A partial dome collapse at Soufriere Hills volcano on the island of Montserrat created a very large ash plume with pilot reports of ash to 50,000 Feet.  The plume was observed at 1700Z on February 11, 2010.  More information is available on the Montserrat Volcano Observatory website. Red Asterisk
